ACORD-2D: calculation by 2D finite elements
ACORD-2D enables analyzing the mechanical and thermal behavior of all structures capable of being represented by either a two-dimensional or axisymmetric model.
- Featuring an integrated CAD tool, with DXF importation capacity, …
- Automated progressive meshing using isoparametric quadratic elements from any region,
- Automatic determination of the regions to be meshed,
- Interactive definition of all computation-related conditions.
- "Plane strain", "plane stress", "axisymmetry" hypotheses,
- Point loads, distributed loads, volumic loads, centrifugal loads,
- Thermo-mechanical couplings by means of incorporating loads due to temperature distributions obtained from the thermal analysis.

| Development with the Fourier series: easy 3D |
The three-dimensional behavior analysis of structures exhibiting axisymmetrical geometry and submitted to any type of loading has been made possible thanks to an automatic Fourier series decomposition of the magnitudes characterizing the problem.
- Automatic Fourier series decomposition of the circumferential distribution of applied forces,
- Visualization of results in the axial plan of the user's choice.
