PALLET-Express: state of the art user friendliness
Thanks to an interface combining best of informatics improvements with a very explicit way to run the study, PALLET-Express is immediate to be taken in the hand.
Predefined pallets groups
For a more simple data entry, and in order to minimize the data number, the user of PALLET-Express is first asked to choose the type of pallet he wants to design (with stringers, notched stringers or blocks, perimetric bottom stringerboards, holed top deck, dissymmetrical pallet…).

This choice is done through an explicit menu shown beside.
state of the art user friendliness
The data are defined thanks « grids » leading the user through the study
All the data needed to define the pallet are given into grids, as a guide for the user.

These grids could be compared to pages of a book.

For an example, we will find following grids:
  • Topdeck definition
  • Stringers definition
  • Bottom stringerboards definition (illustrated beside)
  • etc.

The user goes in a very simple way from a page to the other using « Previous » and « Next » buttons.

The direct effect of the modification of a data is to be seen in real time in the visible output (2D view, 3D view, specifications sheet…).

The outputs tabs
The user chooses an output by clicking on the corresponding tab of the graphic area on the right.

Following outputs are considered:
  • The 2D drawing of the pallet
  • The 3D rendering with realistic colors and textures),
  • The sheet « Assistant » (control of the dimensional tolerances, of current standard specifications…),
  • The sheet « Specification » (all the geometrical characteristics, dimensions, mass, materials, joints…)
  • The sheet « Results under load » (results of the mechanical study)
  • The sheet « Quote » (estimate of the cost of the pallet)
